The knowledge I gained during my mentorship was the opportunity to work with people on the cutting edge of neurology research. I learned how to better conduct literature review and design a research project. The team I worked with everyone brought their own perspective and expertise to the table. I really appreciated the opportunity to complete research in multiple sclerosis.
It was my first time working on a clinical project and clinical research is definitely something I want to pursue again in the future. The experience gave me more insight into the challenges of multiple sclerosis research and the disease itself. I look forward to attending the 2018 CMSC annual meeting where I will present my research project and get to hear more about the great strides that are being made to benefit patients.
