Many attendees of the 2018 CMSC Annual Meeting held in Nashville, TN came out early to join the Foundation’s Eighth Annual Fun Walk. The beautiful Music City Walk of Fame Park provided a scenic sidewalk review of international musicians. The proceeds from the Walk help the Foundation continue our innovative programs that improve patient care through training experiences offered by the Foundation.
This important networking event provides professionals and professionals-in-training who have benefited from FCMSC programs during 2018 the opportunity to exchange experiences at an evening “Meet n Greet” scholar reception followed by a Scholar Recognition buffet luncheon and Key Note Speaker the next afternoon. Attendees include Medical Student Research scholars, MS Rehabilitation Student scholars, MS Mentorship Forum participants, Neurology Resident scholars, Halper Annual Meeting MS Nurse scholars, Scholar Mentors, Corporate Sponsors and FCMSC Board Members.
The MS Workforce of the Future programs provides outstanding medical students with three to six month research experiences mentored by CMSC member researchers and clinicians. Upon completion of their projects, scholars present their research in poster sessions at the CMSC Scientific Annual Meeting. These poster sessions afford these students valuable exposure not only to their peers, but to leaders and potential corporate sponsors.
