2021 FCMSC/CMSC MS REHABILITATION STUDENT ANNUAL MEETING SCHOLARSHIP

 

Background:

The Foundation of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers has funding for a limited number of rehabilitation therapy student annual meeting scholarships available to post-graduate-rehabilitation students. These scholarship opportunities have been established to encourage growth and excellence in the comprehensive clinical care of MS. This program has been generously supported grants from by Greenwich Bioscience.
 

Guidelines:

Student Scholarship assistance will provide for participation in scientific and educational sessions at the Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) scheduled for October 25 thru October 28, 2021 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL. Scholarship funding is designed to cover meeting registration, travel, lodging and incidental expenses up to a cap of $2,000.00. All other expenses incurred are the responsibility of the student participant. Participation in specialized sessions will afford Rehabilitation students exposure to in-depth training in MS care not otherwise available within their student curricula.

Funding will be administered through the FCMSC. Review of candidates will be through a selection committee independent of the supporter.

 

Eligibility:

Applications must be accompanied with a statement of support from the applicant’s direct supervisor. Applications are limited to graduate students studying in the areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language pathology.
 

Evaluation Process:

The application and selection process will be administered independently of grantors through a board review process of the Foundation of the CMSC, and the CMSC Rehabilitation Special Interest Group.

  1. Brief biographical sketch of applicant or CV.
  2. 1-2 page summary (not including references) of career goals in the field of multiple sclerosis, professional goals and objectives for your participation in the CMSC Annual Meeting, as well as any plans for education of colleagues upon return from this program.
  3. Letter of recommendation and support from current academic supervisor.
